Relationship fundraising 3.0

Some of the insights from the social psychology review (Volume 2) are now being tested by the Philanthropy Centre in research to develop Relationship Fundraising 3.0 (alongside many insights from other aspects of their work on philanthropic psychology) as part of a large-scale longitudinal study of donors to four British and American charities. This research will demonstrate not only how fundraisers can make their donors feel good about themselves through the relationships they have with their chosen charities, but also how doing so also raises more money for the charity. For the first time, we will have the evidence that fundraisers have been crying out for that relationship fundraising improves both the donor experience and net income.

We’ll provide updates on this work by our friends and colleagues at the Philanthropy Centre as and when it becomes available.
