Paula has been a fundraiser since the early 1990s. As CEO of ST (Stephen Thomas Ltd), a Toronto‑based marketing and fundraising agency, Paula brings an international perspective to her work, with particular expertise in integrated direct response fundraising. She is deeply committed to advancing effective, ethical fundraising and regularly shares insights and thought leadership with ST’s nonprofit clients to help strengthen the sector as a whole.

Paula is a long‑time volunteer with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the world’s largest community of social impact fundraisers. She is a founding director of AFP Canada and is a past chair of its board.

Paula became involved with Rogare through AFP Canada when Rogare was engaged to develop the Canadian Fundraising Narrative. At that time, ST joined Rogare as Associate Members. Paula is actively engaged in bringing the Fundraising Narrative to fundraisers in Canada and internationally.
